Week 4 March 2009: No rain this week

This week one of our Hakea drupacea plants burst into bloom. We have been waiting for over five years for this event. The flowers are white and sweetly scented. This species was previously known as Hakea suaveolens. A Callistemon sieberi is also flowering. This plant has cream-pink brushes.

More planting this week in our Triangle Garden. Thirty one plants have found a new home in this garden.

One day this week we walked down to our entrance to see the extensive road works being undertaken by the local council. This work will straighten the road and improve our visibility when leaving Yallaroo.
