Week 4 July 2015:

Our journey continued to the South Coast of NSW where we stayed with another relative. The coastal weather was a trifle warmer that Lithgow.

The South Coast is a beautiful area. We spent time driving and walking around admiring the coastal scenery.

Later in the week we headed north to Minchinbury, western Sydney. We stayed there with our youngest daughter and her family. During our stay we visited the Western Sydney Parklands. This is a large area basically set aside for passive recreation and the preservation of remnants the western Sydney natural environment. On one of the hills, in the parkland, there was a panoramic view of the Sydney CBD and the Harbour Bridge.

We visited a Masterís hardware store and purchased a red-flowered strawberry, Astartea Winter Pink, Grevillea Carpet Crawl and a hybrid Boronia.

From Minchinbury we made our penultimate visit. This time we stayed with our son and family at Baulkham Hills, northern Sydney.

We purchased an USB microscope at the local ALDI store. This will be used for capturing images of pollen and various plant structures.

During our stay we had a family get-together at Brooklyn on the Hawkesbury River. Various birthdays were celebrated.
