Week 3 August 2010: Rain = 20 millimetres. The rain keeps coming and our tank keeps overflowing.

A couple of weeks ago we cut down some of our Eucalyptus albens trees. This week we cut up the felled tree for firewood. The trees cut down will regrow from the roots and develop a multi-stemmed, mallee growth habit.

Some Bronzewing Pigeons were around again this week. These large birds are infrequent visitors to Yallaroo.

This week we potted on some struck cuttings including Acacia riceana and Grevillea beadleana. We will be attempting to propagate a number of Acacias from cuttings.
