Week 2 September 2012: Rain = 4.5 millimetres

Planting continued with 30 plants released from their tubes into the garden. Last spring we planted cucumber and zucchini seeds in the holes with new plants. This was very successful so this week we planted more vegetable seeds in new holes.

This week the oldest nursery in Armidale closed. Bunnings probably provides too much competition. We bought a couple of large Dianella (Flax Lilies) plants from the nursery before it closed. We divided the plants and finished up with 15 new plants.

Last month, during a visit to Sydney, we purchased a Myer Lemon and Cumquat. This week they were planted, close together, outside our bedroom against a north-facing wall. Hopefully they will survive and thrive in this situation.
