Week 2 November 2012: Rain = 14.5 millimetres

Lots of family visiting this week including relatives from the UK who spent three days at Yallaroo. During their visit we inspected the garden, bushwalked in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park east of Armidale and spent a restful afternoon attempting to dam the Gwydir River, near Yallaroo, with sand and rocks. Of course we were unsuccessful but had a great time.

During the week our three baby Willie Wagtails left the nest just outside our back door. This is the second year that the parents have successfully raised three babies.

We did find time to fill another timber vegetable bed with soil. Whilst moving the soil we uncovered three large Burrowing Frogs that had taken up residence. They were relocated to one of our ponds.
