Week 1 September 2017:  No rain again. This is the 4th week without rain.

The first day of this month is Wattle Day. What a pity very little attention is paid to this day that celebrates the Australian flora in general and wattles in particular.

Also happy Fathers Day for the 3rd of the month.

One morning our friends, who live in north Armidale, came to visit. They are keen plant propagators and collected lots of cuttings from our plants. A pleasant time was had by all.

Our Acacia pycnantha is in full flower. Of all the 1000 or so wattle species this wattle was selected as our flora emblem.

We did plenty of watering this week using our grey water supply.

This week we potted on struck cuttings of Prostanthera aspalathoides
