Leptospermum Pink Cascade: is a hybrid Tea-tree. There is some dissension over its parentage. Regardless of its antecedents, “Pink Cascade” is a beautiful, spreading shrub that is small enough to be accommodated in most gardens. It reaches a height of less than one metre. The linear leaves are about 1.5 centimetres long and young stems have a reddish colour. In spring and summer plants become covered with pink flowers that are about 1.5 centimetres in diameter. Blooms cover each branch.
“Pink Cascade” prefers full sun and could be grown in the foreground of a native shrubbery. Native cottage gardens and rockeries would also benefit from the addition of “Pink Cascade”. You could also try this hybrid in a container on a patio or balcony.
“Pink Cascade" must be propagated from cuttings to preserve its growth habit and profuse flowering.
We have a number of specimens growing in various garden beds. When flowering it is a cheerful plant that has proved to be drought resistant and very frost tolerant.
