Eremophila_densifolia.JPG (42821 bytes)Eremophila densifolia: is a member of the Myoporaceae family and is a native of southern Western Australia.

Eremophila densifolia is a short shrub that will reach a height of 60 centimetres with a spread of 1.5 metres.

The leaves are narrow, closely spaced with serrated margins. Their colour is variable and may be bright green, grey or with a purplish tinge.

The flowers are tubular, 12 millimetres long, purple, violet or blue and form clusters near the ends of branches. What blooms lack in size they make in quantity. Each stem carries a colourful cluster of flowers from late autumn to summer.

Eremophila densifolia is a beautiful small plant that would be an ideal addition to native cottage gardens. The form with purplish foliage is particularly attractive.

Propagate from cuttings.
