Calytrix alpestris is a spreading, wiry shrub that will reach a height of two metres. The branches are hairy and often arching. Leaves are small, linear and crowded. Flowers are conspicuous, star-shaped, and white and carried in clusters in leaf axils. Flowering occurs in spring. Prune lightly after flowering.

The Snow Myrtle could be cultivated as a low screen or windbreak.

Calytrix alpestris is a native of Victoria and South Australia.
