Callistemon subulatus is a small to medium shrub and is one of our favourite bottlebrushes. We have many specimens, of this species, scattered throughout the gardens at Yallaroo. In late spring and summer deep crimson flower spikes put in an appearance. The flowers are well presented because of the plants upright growth habit. Callistemon subulatus occurs in coastal Victoria and NSW. Pruning is appreciated and propagate from seed or cutting.
