Apodaly.jpg (26450 bytes)Acacia podalyriifolia is known as the Mount Morgan Wattle or Queensland Silver Wattle. The species is native to southern Queensland and is cultivated in many other areas. This striking plant develops into a tall shrub with bluish foliage and bright yellow flowers which appear in  late winter. The Mount Morgan Wattle will bring a touch of spring to the winter garden. The species is not happy growing in exposed frosty sites but is very durable in warmer, sheltered sites. The foliage contrast with other plants. Propagate from seed and possibly cuttings.
